The Spring Budget – March 2017

The main financial planning points – tax rates, rules and allowances

Following the Chancellor’s Budget Speech we’ve summarised the main points relevant to personal financial planning into a simple guide, along with all the key rates and allowances applicable for the new tax year –  click here for your copy

Have you used your ISA allowance for 2016/17?

With only a few weeks left until the end of the tax year, remember, there is also no option to carry forward your ISA allowance.

If you’ve not yet used your full £15,240 ISA allowance for this year, there is still time to do so – but you must act in time for the 5 April 2017 deadline. Next year, the ISA allowance (for anyone aged 18 or over) is increasing to £20,000 per person. Plus, we see the introduction of the ‘LISA’ – read our Budget summary to find out more.
